Designer Imagines Logos for Arkhangelsk Districts with Seagull and Wheel
Designer Anton Kharto from Arkhangelsk imagined how logos for the city«s districts might look. He drew eight images for a sports tournament.
Kharto created the logos for the «Opelyukha» ultimate frisbee tournament, which will take place in Arkhangelsk on 8 February.
Ultimate is a low-contact sport played with a disc. The goal is to catch the disc in the opponent«s zone. However, running with the disc is not allowed.
The concept of this tournament is such that each player applies, and then the organizers distribute them into teams.
«We are organizing an ultimate tournament in Arkhangelsk for the first time. Many players have not been to our North before. Therefore, we decided to introduce them to the city by naming the teams after Arkhangelsk districts,» one of the organizers said. «But the introduction to the region doesn»t end there: we named the tournament after a Pomor winter hat, and on the event«s social media we use words in the Pomor dialect. Moreover, we baked kozuli (traditional gingerbread cookies) for each player.»
The «Opelyukha» tournament will be held on 8 February from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Pobeda Sports Complex on Karpogorskaya Street, 26. Admission is free, but you need to bring a change of shoes.
