Date set for honoring Lokomotiv hockey players

In Yaroslavl, the date for honoring Lokomotiv hockey players has been set. The event will take place on August 2, 2026, on Railway Worker«s Day.

The ceremonial event will be held simultaneously for two teams — Lokomotiv and Loko. Both became champions in the 2025/2026 season: the former won the Gagarin Cup, the latter won the Kharlamov Cup.

Yaroslavl«s Lokomotiv won the Gagarin Cup on May 21, repeating the success of the previous season. The youth team Loko also won the Kharlamov Cup.

The venue chosen is Arena-2000. The ceremony will begin at 18:00, and the auditorium will open one and a half hours before the start.

Tickets will go on sale on July 22. They can be purchased at the sports complex box offices or online on the club«s official portal. On the first day, priority purchase rights are granted to holders of season tickets for the 2025–2026 season.

The organizers have prepared a stage show, concert program, and awarding of the champions.

«On the first day of sales, only holders of 2025–2026 season tickets will be able to purchase tickets on a priority basis. Attention! Due to the concert seating arrangement, the redemption of a ticket for a season ticket seat is not guaranteed,» the club warned fans.

Also on August 2, it will be announced which city location will be renamed in honor of Lokomotiv.

In 2026, the Champions Parade in Yaroslavl took place immediately after the hockey players returned with a victory in the KHL playoffs. In the previous year, the honoring took place on August 3.
