Daniil Isaev extends Lokomotiv contract through 2028

HC Lokomotiv from Yaroslavl extended its agreement with goaltender Daniil Isaev. The new contract will run until May 31, 2028. The club noted that the goalkeeper signed a two-year deal and is currently in his eighth season with the team. «We’re glad we are together,» the organization said.
Daniil Isaev was born in Yaroslavl on January 7, 2000, and has been in the Lokomotiv system since an early age. At 16, he debuted for Loko-Junior, and a year later became a player for the junior team Loko. He first took to the ice for the senior Yaroslavl club on October 2, 2018.
During his time with Lokomotiv, Isaev has played 249 games, earning 150 wins and 32 shutouts. This season his save percentage is 92.8%.
For the past two seasons, Daniil Isaev has been named the best goaltender of the Continental Hockey League (KHL). According to Sport Express, in the 2024/2025 season his salary reached 35 million rubles (about $411,800 at current rates), 8 million rubles more than the previous season. His previous contract with the club was valid until May 31, 2026.
