Belarusian Midfielder Roman Pasevich Joins Saratov Sokol

Belarusian midfielder Roman Pasevich has become a player for the Saratov club Sokol. This was announced today by the press service of the Saratov team.
The 26-year-old footballer moved to Saratov from Sochi, where he returned after a loan from Slovenian club Mura. In Russian football, the midfielder started his game for Sochi in a match against Sokol. In 2025, the player made his debut for the Belarusian national team, coming on as a substitute in a 2026 World Cup qualification match against Greece, where his team lost 1-5.
Last season, Pasevich played for Ufa and Sochi, appearing in 36 matches in the First League and recording nine goal contributions (3 goals and 6 assists). According to the Telegram channel «FNL with Ilyev,» Sokol and Naberezhnye Chelny«s KAMAZ were interested in the player.
However, according to the channel«s source, the management of the Saratov team agreed to pay Roman 500,000 rubles per month (approximately $6,700 at current rates). This amount is less than what he earned at the Black Sea club, but more than what KAMAZ could have offered him.
«The Feathered Ones,» as usual in winter, are preparing a powerful recruitment campaign. They are ready to pay around 700,000 rubles per month (approximately $9,300 at current rates) to a center forward. They have extended their reach to the foreign market. A year ago, with Serbian striker Stefan Vukić (he is now at Cypriot Anorthosis), Sokol didn«t succeed at all. Let»s see how it will be this time,« Ilyev gave his forecast on Sokol»s policy.
