In Moscow from February 26 to 27, the Future Technologies Forum will be held, with the key theme being «Bioeconomy for Humans.»
The forum will bring together Russian and foreign scientists, research centers, major manufacturing companies, and technology leaders in the field of bioeconomy, as well as representatives of agencies overseeing the national project for technological leadership. The program includes discussions on four thematic tracks: «Technologies: Bioevolution,» «Human: New Habitat,» «Industries: Sustainable Development,» «Ecosystem: Society»s Strategy.«
The first direction will unite discussions on the development of technologies that can make Russia a leader in the field of bioeconomy.
— Russia is in unique conditions for the development of the bioeconomy industry and the creation of breakthrough biotechnologies. Rich and diverse biological resources, authoritative natural science schools, a developed energy sector, and the field of information technologies create a powerful base for developing and implementing biotechnologies and improving the efficiency of existing productions. Forum participants will discuss how to combine resources, knowledge, and technologies into an ecosystem that will ensure the development of bioeconomy and the implementation of its principles in other directions to achieve the goals of technological leadership, — noted one of the forum organizers, advisor to the President of the Russian Federation Anton Kobyakov.
The track «Human: New Habitat» will be dedicated to organizing the environment based on sustainable development principles. In the program track «Industries: Sustainable Development,» participants will discuss measures to improve industry efficiency through the use of biotechnologies. Discussions in the direction «Ecosystem: Society»s Strategy« will focus on forming bioeconomy policies at various levels— from municipal to global. Here, participants will also discuss bioethics and myths surrounding bioeconomy.
