Ar-Rakhim Mosque facade work set for 2026, mufti says

The facade of the Ar-Rakhim Mosque in Ufa, which has been under construction for many years, is planned to be completed in 2026. After that, work will begin on its exterior lighting. Mufti Aynur Birgalin of Bashkortostan spoke about the current works and plans.
In mid-January, a commission visited the mosque for an inspection: they checked the progress of work, examined the «quality of rough solutions,» geometry, and compliance with installation technology.
Now Aynur Birgalin has said that they want to complete the facade work in 2026. Mosaic installation is continuing on the dome.
“We have begun the main facade work. Installation will proceed from top to bottom in the coming months. Before that, all windows were replaced, and now we are finishing the crowns of our dome. Beneath the crowns are placed the names of Almighty Allah. We hope that in the coming months, the appearance of the mosque will change radically,” said Birgalin.
Now, a special commission will select a contractor to handle the exterior lighting.
The object was planned to be fully completed by 2027. However, the head of Bashkortostan, during a direct line, responded to a question about whether the mosque would be finished before the end of his term. He said he was not sure.
Work on the site is being carried out by LLC «Profmasterof» from Ufa.
According to «Kontur.Fokus,» there are two such companies in Bashkortostan — one was established in 2022, the other in 2024. Both are engaged in construction, repair, and finishing. They all have one owner.
Their director and sole owner is Pavel Krasnov, a native of Belebey, who previously was a manager and co-owner of a hairdressing salon and was involved in fuel trading. Currently, he has a firm of a similar profile, and another one trades in food products.
The total revenue of the construction companies for 2024 was 153.7 million rubles (approximately $1.7 million at current rates), with a net profit of 9.4 million rubles (approximately $100,000 at current rates).
