Tyumen Couples Reveal Unusual Pet Names

Lovers often call each other sweet and tender names. What do you call your significant other?
Lovers often invent affectionate nicknames for each other that become part of their private language for life. These terms of endearment can vary widely, tied to personality, appearance, or coined by chance in jest. We asked Tyumen residents to share what they call each other. The result is a truly sweet and occasionally amusing collection — below.

«He is »Sunshine« because he said so, and I am »zaInka« (spelled exactly like that). The thing is, I once made a mistake in a word with that letter, and he corrected me,» Valeria shared with us.

It«s quite curious what kind of boss that is and why her man calls the woman that.
«In my contacts, it honestly and sincerely says »Beloved Husband.« Our local inside jokes include the nicknames Shurtanyan and Zaistantsiya. I can also call my mom or kids ShurikO (from »Suliko«). My wife is »the mother of my children.« We also address each other by first name and patronymic. My »Rukonozhnitsa« (from »rukodelnitsa,« meaning needlewoman). Petruccio (my patronymic is Petrovna).
My husband calls our youngest daughter Politruk (guess her real name),» Olga said.

Confess, how are your close and beloved people saved in your phone?
At least two of our readers call their men «head of the family name.» For one of them, her partner is listed that way in her phone.
A Tyumen man calls his significant other «boss.» That«s even how the woman is listed in his phone. Here»s the proof:
«I used to call my ex »little button.« She was 19 years younger than me. Life just worked out that way — in the past, I always had girlfriends who were 19, 18, 15, 10, or 8 years younger,» Ivan admitted.
«My husband»s name is Pavel, but I don«t like his name, so I call him by his surname (sometimes by his first name, but rarely). When we were around 30–40, I used to call him »little cucumber,«» Tatiana said.
«My husband is saved in my contacts as Art, I call him »Dad,« and he calls me »my girl,«» Marina added.
«My wife is listed as »Universe,«» Dmitry wrote proudly.
«I used to call my husband »Angel« because his name is Angel,» Svetlana summed up.
Other sweet and quite interesting nicknames among Tyumen residents include: kitten, mushy-poo, beloved husband, favorite, father of my children, and bunny. Many, by the way, call each other simply by name, and sometimes with a patronymic.
We also had another similar publication. Back then we wrote that a phone«s contact list can say a lot about a person. What are they like? A bore or a joker? Honest or hiding something? After all, you can find out why they have a contact »Wife 2« and where »Wife 1« went. Earlier, we asked Tyumen residents to share personal details — to tell us how the numbers of their loved ones are saved in their smartphones. What came of it — find here.
