The Price of Love for 'Lillies of the Valley' Actress Nika Zdorik
The second season of the series «Lillies of the Valley» (18+) is in full swing. The main characters—privileged Katya and simple guy Lekha—continue to build their love despite difficulties and obstacles. But fans are captivated not only by Katya«s life but also by the personal life of the lead actress, Nika Zdorik. Over five years on screen, she has managed to have a romance with a famous singer, get into a conflict on set, and face accusations of escort work.
«I»m Afraid of Loneliness«
Zdorik was born into a not-wealthy, large family in Obninsk. Besides her, her parents raised four other children and tried to ensure each was clothed and shod, but could not afford luxuries.
«My family was never rich, we lived very modestly, but despite all that I was always bold, active, organized events, choreographed dances,» Nika said about her childhood.
When the girl was ten, her parents divorced. One sister stayed with their father, while she and three other children remained with their mother. Besides finances becoming even tighter, Nika believes her father«s departure directly impacted her adult personal life.
«In childhood, I lacked a basic sense of security due to my father»s absence. My parents divorced early, and the right, ideal male figure was never in my life. And now it«s quite difficult for me in that regard,» Nika admitted. «It always seems to me that I could be cheated on, that someone could leave me. I»m terrified of experiencing betrayal; I«m afraid of loneliness. I feel I»m not good enough, even though I have a rather striking appearance.«
Nika realized early that if she wanted to achieve something, she had to do everything herself, not wait for fate«s gifts. During a school celebration, she spotted the local theater director Oleg Demidov in the audience—she immediately went to introduce herself, knowing a second chance might not come. In conversation, Nika directly stated she wanted to work with him, and the director invited her to his studio.
Besides theater, Nika went to film auditions and at 16 got her first role. True, it was only in a short film shot in her hometown, but it was just the beginning.
«I Lived Out of Suitcases for Two Months»
After school, Nika and her sister packed their things, rented an apartment, and moved to Moscow. Zdorik set two goals for herself: get into a theater institute and find work as fast as possible. Nika went to auditions but kept getting rejections. Another problem piled on—she lost her housing.
«When I moved to the capital, there was a moment when the landlady kicked me and my sister out, and I lived out of suitcases for two months. There were hungry times, and I went through that path on my own…» Nika says about the start of her life in the capital.
The girls sought temporary shelter with acquaintances and relatives. But all difficulties vanished when Nika was offered one of the lead roles of Yaguzhinskaya«s daughter in the sequel to »Midshipmen« (12+).
Nika found herself on set with Boyarsky and Kharyatan, and most importantly, she finally got her first fees. She couldn«t let such an opportunity slip. But, as luck would have it, filming began at the same time as entrance exams for the Shchukin Institute, where Nika planned to enroll.
They wouldn«t let her leave the set, and Zdorik didn»t want to lose her first major role, so she had to prepare for entrance exams at night and run to take them during lunch breaks.
«I sat down, they asked me what I»d like to play, they didn«t even torment me with questions. And then I returned to the set. Two hours later they called me, read out the list of accepted students—I was given a state-funded spot for women. I sobbed and danced,» Nika forever remembered those emotions.
After «Midshipmen,» Nika was invited to auditions more often, but her main role came in 2024 in the series «Lillies of the Valley. Such Tender Love.» The project became so famous that just a month after the premiere, Nika«s follower count increased by 200,000 and her fees grew significantly.
Zdorik admits that with the money she earned, she bought an apartment in the capital costing around 20 million rubles (approx. $220,000 at current rates).
«I myself, at 24, bought my apartment in Moscow! This isn»t just a purchase! It«s a purchase after seven years of wandering through rented apartments, fears, and moves,» Nika couldn«t be happier.
From filming the second season of «Lillies of the Valley,» she hopes to help her mother and buy her the house she dreams of.
«They Offered Large Sums»
Early in her career, Nika became famous not only as an actress from «Midshipmen» but also as Stas Piekha«s girlfriend. Zdorik accidentally met the musician in 2022. A friend invited her to the artist»s performance and afterward suggested going to his dressing room. Stas didn«t turn the fans away.
«We just had a laugh and went our separate ways. And then we started talking. We walked every day until morning. Laughed, talked, and didn»t part again, but I didn«t want any relationship. It was that period when I said: »That«s it, no more relationships.» And he did too,« Nika later said in an interview.
The couple dated for a year. They traveled together, appeared in public, and posted photos. Fans were sure it was serious and a wedding was imminent. However, in 2023, the lovers broke up. In interviews, Nika hints at two reasons for the split. First—Piekha, used to being alone, didn«t want to take the relationship to a new level.
«There were no intrigues, but he just completely doesn»t let me in. I understand why this happens—it«s just calmer for him that way. He»s very cool, I«m very grateful to him. He really gave me a lot, showed me the world from a slightly different angle,» Nika says about Piekha.
The second reason Zdorik mentions: Piekha met another girl.
«You know, for me it»s total madness what surfaces now. I deliberately don«t follow, don»t look, but of course, people send me stuff. It«s already a page in my biography, can»t get rid of it. Isn«t it cute? A line from a song: »How to tell you that yesterday I was happy with another…« Thank God, it»s all behind us. Let«s close this topic,» Zdorik stated in one interview.
Nika took the breakup with Piekha hard, and it wasn«t just about emotional attachment. After the split, the actress was accused of escort work. Dozens of offers for »pleasant company« came flooding in. Nika started suspecting her contacts were deliberately leaked somewhere, but she didn»t know who exactly could have done it.
«When we were breaking up, my agent started getting calls asking, like, how much my services cost for a sauna, accompanying to various restaurants, and so on. They offered quite large sums. As if I»m an escort… I, of course, don«t do that, I»m not interested. But nevertheless, immediately this feeling… What the hell is this? What«s happening? Were you leaked somewhere?!» Nika was in a panic.
When the series «Lillies of the Valley» came into Nika«s life, another scandal came with it. Her on-screen partner Sergei Gorodnichy fell in love with an assistant, Valeria. Their relationship developed rapidly, and everything seemed fine until one day Nika complained that the assistant wasn»t working well. As Zdorik assures, she meant another girl, but two were fired immediately, including Valeria. Sergei never understood his partner«s action.
«I»m not such a conflict-prone person. I wouldn«t tell my agent that they didn»t bring me allergy pills or apples,« Sergei said in an interview with Alena Zhigalova.
Fans assumed there«s no smoke without fire and perhaps love sparked between the actors not only on screen but in real life. However, Nika completely denies anything between her and Sergei. Since 2025, he has been married to that same Valeria who was fired because of Zdorik.
«That was out of the question: Seryozha has a wife, and recently a wonderful son, Lev, was born,» Zdorik denies any hint of romance.
As for Nika«s own heart, it remains free for now, and she is not ready to open it to anyone except her on-screen characters.
