The former partner of Yakut shaman Yury Ivanov, better known as Baaragai, said on her Telegram channel that he refuses to voluntarily pay child support for their daughter. The young woman had to turn to a lawyer.

Yury Ivanov — a shaman from Yakutia (Sakha Republic, Russia). According to the website of the glossy magazine Zhurfix, in 2022 he was decorated with an order by the Soiuz Shamanov Mongolii (Union of Shamans of Mongolia). Baaragai and Alina announced they were a couple in September 2023; their daughter was born in July 2024 in Mongolia, as reported by the SakhaDay website. Alina is a blogger from Yakutia, a mother of several children and a fitness enthusiast. The reasons for the couple’s breakup are unknown.

The young woman published a screenshot of a message from Baaragai saying that she can file a lawsuit.

«Good morning, Alina. G. Today, alas, I won’t be able to come. I can come on Monday. My lawyer is on a business trip. If you want to file in court, file. I can only do Monday, strictly,» the message says.

The story began back on 12 September: that day Alina posted a video on her Telegram channel in which she says the shaman and his current partner are accusing her that the daughter was not fathered by him. This angered her so much that she agreed to take a DNA test.

Alina’s Telegram channel also contains screenshots of messages from the shaman in which he writes that he will definitely help the child. The young woman claims the shaman does not have a personal mobile phone, so he writes to her from his current partner’s number. The woman is also involved in the conflict, threatens to sue for blackmail, and asserts that all financial matters will be handled in court, and that the request for child support is extortion.

«Never in my life have I asked my exes for any-thing! <…> What I know could 100% harm all participants in this conflict,» Alina writes.
