Top Extra Rooms for Families with Children

When you are parents, an apartment is not just a cozy nest, but first and foremost a functional space. To ensure every family member feels comfortable, when choosing living space it«s important to consider everyone»s needs. Federal developer Strana Development Group conducted a survey among a thousand current and potential clients from Yekaterinburg, Tyumen, and Novosibirsk to find out which extra rooms families with children need.

38% of respondents named a second bathroom as a basic minimum. Its presence allows reducing morning queues and getting ready. Also, a second bathroom can be used as a laundry room.
In second place is parking. 25% of respondents named it. Having your own parking spot in a covered parking lot means convenience, time savings, and family budget economy. To take a child to kindergarten, you don«t need to go outside early, clear snow off the car, and warm it up.
This year, Strana Development celebrates its 20th anniversary. Over these years, thousands of Yekaterinburg families have been able to see from personal experience the comfort of using covered parking lots. When buying an apartment in the developer«s projects, you can get a parking spot as a gift.
20% said that a family-format apartment should have a walk-in closet or a niche for a wardrobe, which allows not cluttering the room space with storage furniture.
Pantry (8%), balcony or loggia (5%), home office (3%), other rooms (1%) — this closed the list of extra rooms for a family apartment in the survey.
All survey participants noted that when choosing a new apartment, they also pay attention to the proximity of social facilities, playgrounds, and the safety of the surrounding area.
