Tobolsk to Get Major Hotel Near Kremlin

In Tobolsk, a four-star hotel is under construction near the kremlin. The facility was initially planned for summer 2026, but the timeline has shifted. Here is how the site looks now.

“We are currently building in Tobolsk together with SIBUR. I think in a year to a year and a half we will open the hotel. It will be the largest in Tobolsk,” said Alexander Biba, president of Cosmos Hotel Group, this spring.

Cosmos Hotel Group operates 52 hotels in 32 cities, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Surgut, Kogalym, and Salekhard.

On the site, workers have backfilled the excavation pit and installed concrete structures. By the end of the year, the facility should be connected to electrical and gas supply systems.
The hotel will have 120 rooms, a wellness center and SPA, and a fitness area.
Earlier we reported that the abandoned plant of the former head of the Antipinsky Refinery has gained a new owner. Mushroom production was planned there, but those plans changed.
We also reported that in Tyumen, the legendary house with a palm tree is being rented out, even though it was slated for demolition.
