The project for a new 1,300-seat school in Vsevolozhsk was presented to the vice-governor of Leningrad Oblast, Evgeny Baranovsky. GC «A101», the developer, plans to create a unified educational cluster by combining the school with an already built neighboring kindergarten for 140 children.

Currently, the building project and estimate documentation are at the stage of checks and non-state expert review. State expert review is planned after the General Plan of Vsevolozhsk is approved.

The architectural design of the school is executed in a unified marine style with the neighboring kindergarten. The facades of the academic building will be adorned with images of whales.

The building of variable height will include two main blocks. A three-story block is designed for 500 primary school students, and a four-story block for 800 middle and high school students. These blocks will be connected by a space for shared school facilities, which will house two multi-story atriums and a cafeteria for 450 seats.

For physical education, two universal transformable sports halls, each two stories high, are planned. Middle and high school students will have at their disposal a large hall equipped with spectator stands for 140 people.

On the adjacent territory, the following will be equipped:

  • a universal sports ground;
  • a football field;
  • volleyball and basketball courts;
  • a running track;
  • a long jump sector;
  • an obstacle course for basic military training;
  • a zone for outdoor events;
  • an area for student recreation.

Separate play areas for active games are also planned, intended for first-graders, students in grades 2–4, and grades 5–9.

According to Evgeny Baranovsky, the next steps will be expert review and working adjustments to the solutions with mandatory preservation of the quality and logic of the project.
