Large-Scale Construction Starts in Yaroslavl near Volga

The Yaroslavl administration approved comprehensive development of a large plot located near Novye Kukenki Street in Zavolzhsky District. The land is less than a kilometer from the Volga bank, near the Yubileyny Bridge. Its total area is 234,937 square meters. The construction of residential buildings ranging from 4 to 8 stories is planned on this territory.

According to the approved document, a kindergarten with a capacity of 220 places will also be built within the boundaries of the site. A new school will appear on the adjacent land. In addition to housing, the project includes the creation of social and commercial infrastructure facilities. These include:
- shops and pharmacies;
- garages;
- a post office;
- beauty salons;
- dry cleaning and laundry drop-off points.
The resolution specifies the project implementation timeline: «The deadline for implementing the decision on comprehensive development of the undeveloped territory is 10 years from the date of signing the contract.»
Earlier, in October and December 2025, the city administration had already adopted similar documents for the development of territory in the same district. Those resolutions concerned three non-adjacent plots near Starye and Novye Kukenki streets. The areas of those territories were 400,996 sq m and 398,576 sq m respectively. Currently, both previous resolutions have been declared invalid.
