Boom or Blowout? Barnaul Restaurants on Sale

In Barnaul, owners of cafes, restaurants, and other food service establishments are mass-selling their businesses. Notably, many are willing to part with their ventures at very attractive prices. This wave of sales is not accidental and stems from several reasons.

Trepet i Tomaty Restaurant

A striking example is the Trepet i Tomaty restaurant on Lenin Avenue in the city center. This establishment, opened recently in March 2025, is already seeking a new owner.

Initially, in January, the asking price was 24 million rubles (about $252,600 at current exchange rates), but now it has dropped to 5 million rubles (about $52,600). The realtor handling the sale told NGS22.RU that the current price does not include equipment and furniture. According to her, the main reason for the sale is the owner«s move to another city.

The restaurant occupies a spacious 285-square-meter (3,068 sq ft) venue with 90 seats. The new owner will receive not only a ready business with a liquor license but also supplier contacts.

The space is on a long-term lease, with expensive renovations already done. Moreover, the restaurant can easily be repurposed into any other concept—whether a beer and wine bar, hookah lounge, or pizzeria.

Volna Banquet Complex

Near the Barnaul river station, the Volna banquet complex on the Ob River bank is up for sale. The asking price is 48 million rubles (about $505,300 at current rates).

According to the owner, the banquet hall can comfortably accommodate up to 150 guests. The total area is 507 square meters (5,457 sq ft). This venue is suitable for various celebrations such as weddings, corporate events, anniversaries, and graduation parties.

It features two separate entrances, a spacious fully equipped professional kitchen, dishwashing area, cold and hot shops, bar area, laundry room, manager and staff offices, dressing rooms for staff and performers, a guest cloakroom, storage rooms, staff restrooms, and two large guest restrooms. The property is currently leased as a banquet hall.

Kebabushka Grill

Another ready business is the Kebabushka grill restaurant on Kalinin Avenue. The total area is 256 square meters (2,755 sq ft). The building comes with a 570-square-meter (6,135 sq ft) land plot, offering ample opportunities for expansion, building a summer terrace, additional parking, or future development.

It has a large kitchen and a spacious hall suitable for banquets and corporate events. The price for this ready business is 25.5 million rubles (about $268,400 at current rates).

Commercial real estate specialist Sergey Bastrykin stated that a significant number of business premises of various types will be put up for sale soon.

— My main work is selling industrial buildings. As for cafes and restaurants, it«s obvious: their fate directly reflects the current financial situation in the country. Unfortunately, by the end of the year, even more commercial properties will appear on the market, and this applies not only to food service establishments. That»s today«s reality, — the expert notes.
