The chairman of the Voronezh Regional Duma, Yuri Matuzov, may gain another, third, deputy. This was reported by the press service of the regional parliament on February 2.
Currently, the speaker has two deputies — former chief federal inspector of the region Alexander Solodov and former head of the Voronezh directorate of the Investigative Committee Kirill Levit. The proposal to introduce the position of another deputy came «as a result of an analysis of the work of the Voronezh Regional Duma of the eighth convocation since the beginning of its work, as well as upcoming tasks».
The decision on whether Matuzov will have a new deputy will be made on February 5. The regional parliament notes that increasing the number of vice-speakers does not contradict the Duma«s regulations and other normative acts. Candidates for the position will be proposed by factions.
Also on February 5, Igor Lotkov will be confirmed as the new deputy governor of the Voronezh Region under Governor Alexander Gusev. That the head of the secretariat of the regional head received this appointment became known on January 26. Lotkov will «coordinate work in the region related to training personnel for the new economy».
