Svetlana Maslova elected Anapa mayor on second try

In Anapa, on February 5, Svetlana Maslova will officially assume the post of head of the city. Her candidacy was approved by local deputies. Out of 32 votes, Maslova received 28. Her opponents — Nikita Boyko and Alexander Kudayev — received 2 votes each, TASS reports citing Vyacheslav Vovk, chairman of the municipal council.

Recall that the initial acceptance of documents for the position of mayor of Anapa began back in autumn 2025, but in the end only one application was submitted. Only Vitaly Samarets wanted to become head of the resort, nominated by the interregional public organization for protecting citizens« rights «Pravovoye Gosudarstvo». Therefore, the competition was declared invalid and held again.

Who is Svetlana Maslova?

The new head is a native of the resort. Svetlana Maslova was born on July 12, 1967, in Anapa. She has a higher education degree in «engineer-economist». She studied in Kaliningrad and then stayed there to work. In the late 2000s, she served as deputy head of Kaliningrad. And from 2010, Maslova became head of the city, but in 2012 she briefly left the position. According to media reports, at the same time the official was at the center of a scandal. As journalists wrote, her son entered a university on a budget place under targeted admission from the district council of Kaliningrad, despite having low results on the Unified State Exam (USE).

In late 2012, Maslova returned to the mayor«s office as deputy head and worked in the administration until 2019. Her husband, Anatoly Mukhomor, at that time headed the municipal enterprise »Kaliningrad-GorTrans«. From 2019 to 2020, Maslova served as vice president of OOO «Avtotor Holding Management».

In 2020, the official took the position of deputy chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea. In late January 2026, Maslova resigned.

Recall that the mayor«s seat in Anapa became vacant after Vasily Shvets stepped down voluntarily in summer 2025. Where the former city head is now is not known exactly.
