Sergey Tabelsky Appointed Deputy Prosecutor General of Russia

Sergey Bazhutov, former prosecutor of the Komi Republic, and Sergey Tabelsky, prosecutor of Krasnodar Krai, have been appointed deputy prosecutors general of Russia. The corresponding decree signed by President Vladimir Putin has been published on the government«s legal information website.

Sergey Tabelsky is a native of Orenburg Region (southwestern Russia), born on 23 January 1967 in the village of Yemelyanovka, Martyevsky District, Orenburg Region. In 1993 he graduated from the Sverdlovsk Law Institute. From 1992 to 2009 he worked in the prosecutor«s office of Orenburg Region, rising from trainee and assistant to prosecutor of Novotroitsk and deputy prosecutor of the region.

From 2009 to 2013 he was prosecutor of Kalmykia (a republic in southwestern Russia), and then until 2017, prosecutor of Kaliningrad Region (a Russian exclave on the Baltic Sea). In March 2017, Tabelsky was appointed prosecutor of Krasnodar Krai (southern Russia). He holds the rank of State Counselor of Justice 2nd Class, is married, and has three children.
As for other personnel changes in the upper ranks of the Orenburg Region prosecutor«s office, the latest to occupy the position of first deputy head of the regional supervisory agency came from Yekaterinburg: Pavel Rodchenkov. Previously, the post of first deputy was held by a prosecutor with the same first name as Rodchenkov. Pavel Khlebkovich is currently the prosecutor of Tver Region (west of Moscow).
There have been other changes in the regional agency that, by coincidence, are again connected with the same name.
In November 2024, it became known that the prosecutor of Orenburg, Pavel Kucheryavenko, had left his post. The 46-year-old native of Tyumen Region (western Siberia) was appointed deputy prosecutor of the Republic of Crimea. Also, as reported 56.RU, in January Dmitry Shevelenko became the prosecutor of Orenburg District. He replaced... Pavel Spesivtsev — yes, indeed, the region«s prosecutor»s office has many employees with that name. Meanwhile, Yuri Ryvaev, a native of Orenburg, became the prosecutor of Kirov Region (west of the Urals).
