Queues Shrink After Fuel Deliveries in Zabaykalsky

After additional fuel deliveries to districts of Zabaykalsky Krai, the gasoline shortage situation has noticeably improved, and queues have shortened, but restrictions on fuel sales remain in place. This was reported to Chita.Ru by the heads of Nerchinsky district and Gazimuro-Zavodskoy district.

Sergey Komogortsev, head of Nerchinsky district, said that there are five gas stations operating in the municipality — two belonging to Neftemarket, two to Masma, and one to Soyuz i K. According to him, queues still exist but have significantly shortened: whereas before drivers would line up in the evening and wait until morning for fuel, now the waiting time is between 30 minutes and an hour.

Fuel sales are still subject to quotas. Gasoline and diesel are primarily allocated to organizations that support the district«s vital functions: food and bread transporters, water carriers, and sewage pumping companies. According to Komogortsev, before the fuel arrived, some of these services had been idle for several days due to lack of fuel.

«With the quotas that were allocated, there is gasoline for now. I think deliveries will continue systematically. At least, people say there is enough fuel now,» he noted.

In Gazimuro-Zavodskoy district, according to head Mikhail Ishenin, the situation has also become calmer after the arrival of fuel trucks. Currently, two gas stations operate in the district — Neftemarket and a Masma station that opened a week ago.

«It has become much better. Queues still exist, but they are no longer as significant. Previously, people could stand for days; now the situation has normalized,» Ishenin said.

He added that authorities continue to work with Neftemarket to provide fuel to all residents of the district and completely eliminate queues. New fuel deliveries are also expected.

The district head emphasized that there were no interruptions in the work of emergency services and other socially important organizations — they were supplied with fuel on a priority basis.

«To be honest, the panic is created by the residents themselves. The same people keep coming and standing in line. According to what I discussed with Masma, the daily volume of fuel sold is practically no different from what it was before the crisis,» he said.

Governor Alexander Osipov wrote on his MAKh channel that in Shilkinsky district, where the only Rosneft gas station outside Chita is located, people waited up to two days to refuel, but the situation has now stabilized.

To provide fuel to those who needed it most urgently, the district administration organized the distribution of vouchers. Priority was given to bread and water delivery trucks, funeral service vehicles, sewage trucks, and residents who require regular hemodialysis. The need for vouchers has now almost disappeared.

Of the 12 gas stations in the district, 10 serve individuals, and one works with organizations under previously signed contracts. Queues have shortened, move fairly quickly, and are usually no longer than 100–150 meters. More cars are expected after the workday ends and on weekends.

On July 5, he said that 19,000 tons of fuel are currently en route to Zabaykalsky Krai by rail, enough to supply the region for two-thirds of a month. However, the delivery may take 10–15 days or even 30–50 days. Previously, the region received fuel from the Tomsk Refinery, but now it will be supplied by more distant plants. He also noted that fuel is primarily allocated for the needs of the Special Military Operation (SMO).

On July 14, authorities reported that following negotiations with the Ministry of Energy and Rosneft, fuel is being shipped to 12 gas stations. The fuel was sent via independent networks to the following populated areas: Gazimursky Zavod, Shelopugino, Chernyshevsk, Nerchinsk, Sretensk, Kholbon, Shilka, Znamenka, Darasun, Krasnokamensk, Chita. Tanker trucks began moving to the districts that evening. Later, Zabaykalsky Krai was additionally allocated another 24,000 tons of fuel. Moreover, almost 9,000 tons of fuel are already on their way to the region.
