Privmor-Akhtarsk head posts Swan Lake after security visit
The official«s Telegram channel shared a Swan Lake clip after searches were reported at his home.
On January 21, a post with the dance of the little swans from the second act of the ballet «Swan Lake» appeared in the Telegram channel of Maxim Bondarenko, head of the Privmor-Akhtarsk district. In the USSR, the ballet was broadcast on the days of general secretaries« deaths, becoming a symbol of mourning. In 1991, during the August Coup, all television channels in the country stopped broadcasting and began showing the ballet.
It is not entirely clear what specifically prompted the publication in Bondarenko«s Telegram channel, because on January 20 it became known that security forces came to the official with searches.
A journalist from the portal 93.RU attempted to contact Natalia Molokitina, head of the press service of the district administration. But they hung up as soon as they learned who was calling. After 47 more attempts to get through, the phone was finally picked up again and they stated, «you have the wrong number.»
Previously, the portal 93.RU wrote that Maxim Bondarenko had earlier tried to sue 300,000 rubles (approximately $3,200 at current rates) from a pensioner who criticized him on social media and said that the official «lies as easily as he breathes.» In the end, the court significantly reduced the amount that the woman would have to pay and granted her an installment plan.
This situation caused a major scandal. Bondarenko himself did not comment on this lawsuit.
