Primorye Governor Receives Demand to Remove Lesozavodsk Head Konstantin Bantseev

Active residents of the Lesozavodsk municipal district have sent an appeal to the office of Primorye Territory Governor Oleg Kozhemyako demanding the removal of the head of the Lesozavodsk municipal district, Konstantin Bantseev. The report appeared on the Telegram channel «Civil Defense | Far East.»

District residents publicly spoke out against Bantseev back in December 2025. At that time, they prepared a full presentation and a document that listed a number of violations by the head: ignoring rising river levels and flood consequences, problems with transportation and garbage collection, and more. The appeal stated that Lesozavodsk residents want to hold a new competition and select a leader who, in their opinion, will have the necessary competencies to solve existing problems.
In January, the dissatisfied Primorye residents made themselves heard again and stated they had submitted demands to the Lesozavodsk district council and also collected more than 1,600 signatures for Bantseev«s resignation. The district administration noted that it considers collecting citizen opinions in this format incorrect and that for objectivity, a vote with answer options should be offered so other residents of the municipality could voice support. The authorities also pointed out that the sheets contain only signatures and last names, but lack passport data and other identifiers, which is why the document cannot be considered official.
In the end, the activists decided to send the appeal to the Primorye Territory governor. They indicated that they attached 95 sheets with 1,663 signatures from residents of Lesozavodsk and settlements within the district to the document, and if they fail to achieve the desired outcome, they will send a similar appeal to President Vladimir Putin, the General Prosecutor«s Office, the Investigative Committee, State Duma deputies, and the media.
The Primorye Territory government told a VLADIVOSTOK1.RU correspondent that the complaint against Bantseev was submitted to the «Direct Conversation» with Governor Oleg Kozhemyako, but such appeals typically list only 2–3 names, not hundreds of residents.
