Russia insists that the Ukrainian Armed Forces leave the territory of Donbas. This is one of Moscow«s key demands, said Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
«Russia»s position is well-known that Ukraine, the Ukrainian Armed Forces must leave the territory of Donbas, must be withdrawn. This is a very important condition. There are also other nuances that remain on the negotiation agenda,« noted the Kremlin representative.
He reminded that nearly $5 billion in Russian assets remain frozen in the USA. According to him, these could be spent on restoring territories affected by combat, including Donbas.
Regarding details of the upcoming meeting in Abu Dhabi, Peskov said that the start time of the Russia-US-Ukraine summit is still unknown. It will be determined when the countries« delegations arrive in the UAE. He warned that the negotiation process will take place not only today but also on January 24, if necessary.
