Pervouralsk Mayor Igor Kabets Dismissed

Sverdlovsk Oblast Governor Denis Pasler dismissed Pervouralsk head Igor Kabets. The announcement was made on his Telegram channel. The decision was attributed to numerous problems that had accumulated in the municipality.

“Pervouralsk is one of the major industrial cities of the Middle Urals, which, despite significant support from enterprises and the opening of new production facilities, has in recent years only accumulated problems in the management of the city«s municipal economy,” said Denis Pasler.

The regional head added that today the city duma will receive the necessary documents. The process of appointing an acting head will be launched, followed by the election of a new head of Pervouralsk.

Igor Kabets had been leading the city since 2018.
