A significant personnel change recently occurred in the information policy department of the Kuzbass administration, with Yevgeny Romanov leaving his post, and soon Amina Botasheva was approved for the position, who is still listed in the press service of the regional capital. The editorial staff of NGS42.RU on Tuesday, January 27, collected residents« reactions to this change.

The departure of the former PR manager of the region sparked lively discussion in our comments. Some readers claim that his resignation is solely due to the authorities« desire to »appoint a guilty party« and »find a scapegoat« in addressing and covering all the region»s problems.

«He is not to blame for the failure of policy in the region. This is typical for our country. The innocent are punished»,— writes one of the commenters.

Others, on the contrary, note that the departure was predictable given the current state of the region, emphasizing that «there is nothing left to PR» and such an exit is the only «correct decision.»

«Well done! He left! Tired of lying! Has a conscience!» — writes one of the local residents.

In general, most of our readers view the position with skepticism. As some residents believe, such a post is needed only so that problems in the region are not solved but, on the contrary, «buried» under informational «garbage.»

Under the post about approving a new person for the position, most of the discussion centered on the name, education, and appearance of the possible PR manager—Botasheva has not yet been appointed but is approved for the position. However, there were several relatively relevant comments.

«Now the Kuzbass government will focus in the region not on solving problems, but on explaining to people why these problems are a blessing. Their task is not to highlight problems too much. So, we inhale smog with full lungs and smile»,— believes one of the townspeople.

Earlier we reported what is known about the former PR manager. The main reason for his departure is presumably the weak work of the press service in covering a series of negative events, including the mass death of infants in a maternity hospital in Novokuznetsk.
