Khinstein undergoes surgery after accident, reveals femoral fracture

Kursk Region Governor Alexander Khinstein published a video recorded at the Kursk Regional Clinical Hospital. He is there after a road accident that led to the need for surgical intervention.

«The situation, unfortunately, is a bit worse than expected. A femoral fracture, so I’ll have to spend some time here,» Khinstein stated. He clarified that the operation has already been successfully performed by doctors.

Despite doctors« recommendations to rest from work, the regional head intends to »keep his finger on the pulse.« Khinstein thanked the medical staff, the ambulance team, and colleagues from the Ministry of Health who offered to organize treatment in Moscow, but he decided to stay »on Kursk land.«

The governor also expressed gratitude to everyone sending him wishes for recovery. «This is very important, it gives me strength,» he noted.

The accident occurred in the Konyshevsky District due to difficult weather conditions. The car skidded and was thrown onto the shoulder. Khinstein apologized to residents he couldn’t meet with and promised to make up for lost time after recovery.
