The former head of the Mariinsky District has been appointed Minister of Agriculture of Kuzbass. Alexander Krivtsov will now serve as Deputy Chairman of the Government in this area, as announced by the regional administration on Thursday, 5 February.
At the end of 2025, Andrei Aritkulov left the post of head of the Ministry of Agriculture after receiving a new position in the Russian government. The chair remained vacant for several months, with acting duties performed by Irina Karayeva, the deputy minister of agriculture.
«I have decided to appoint Alexander Krivtsov to the position of Deputy Chairman of the Government of Kuzbass — Minister of Agriculture of the region,» said Ilya Seredyuk.
Krivtsov began his career as a physical education teacher at Tyazhinskaya School No. 2, after which he was appointed head of the youth policy and sports department in the same district. In 2007, he moved to a similar department but now worked at the regional level, and from 2013 he headed this direction.
In 2015, he was confirmed as head of the Mariinsky District, where he spent more than 10 years, serving two terms. In early 2025, he was awarded a letter signed by the president for his labor achievements.
Earlier, the NGS42.RU editorial board reported that the head of the Mariinsky District turned out to be the highest-paid chief, earning nearly 6 million rubles in a year (over $64,000 at current rates).
