Bashkortostan official from Khabirov's team, conviction expunged, confirms appointment

Elena Prochakovskaya, who was accused of fraudulent activities, has been officially appointed as head of the social communications department in the administration of the head of Bashkortostan. She confirmed this herself in a conversation with UFA1.RU. Recall that the official lost her job when she was convicted in a fraud case, but managed to have her conviction expunged.

Prochakovskaya is a long-time member of the team of Bashkortostan«s head, Radii Khabirov. She worked with him even when he headed the administration of Krasnogorsk in the Moscow region. In Bashkortostan, the official was also involved in covering Khabirov»s activities and before the trial, she headed the same social communications department.

In 2024, Prochakovskaya became embroiled in a scandal. She was accused of employing a «dead soul» during her work in Krasnogorsk, for which she allegedly received a salary. Radii Khabirov then spoke out in support of his associate, noting that she is a «decent person».

Nevertheless, the court found her guilty, and Prochakovskaya was forced to resign, while insisting that she would appeal the verdict. In the end, the decision was upheld, but the conviction was expunged. After that, Prochakovskaya returned to work, and today she drew the attention of the press by appearing at the address of the head of Bashkortostan to the Kurultai (the republic«s assembly). It became known that she officially got her position back.
