Ufa's Largest School Offers Teachers 40,000 Rubles

The largest school in the Volga Federal District, located in the Kuznetsovsky Zaton district of Ufa, is looking for new teachers. The institution will open its doors in the coming days and has already published vacancies for teachers of history, computer science, and a number of other subjects. The institution is looking for teachers of history, biology, computer science, English, Russian language and literature, chemistry, mathematics, geography, and physics. All vacancies state that they are willing to pay from 40,000 rubles ($444 at current rates). While experience is supposedly not required. A year ago, the school was looking for two deputy directors and also promised them from 40,000 rubles.

Responsibilities include: teaching and upbringing of children «taking into account their psychological and physiological characteristics» and the requirements of state standards. Requirements: medical book, psychiatric examination, specialized pedagogical education. Also specified necessary key skills: literate speech, teamwork, working with banks, maintaining a log of inventory items.

Conditions: they promise a full social package, but do not specify what it includes, the working day is promised to be eight hours, they are ready to consider other options.

Is «from 40,000» a lot or a little? Let«s consider another example — School No. 45 on Pushkin Street. There, in September 2025, they were looking for a mathematics teacher and promised from 25,800 rubles ($287). The same salary was indicated for a primary school teacher.

Or here is School No. 35, near Telecenter: in summer 2025, it was looking for teachers with a salary from 27,000 rubles ($300), while a janitor was promised from 22,300 rubles ($248).

Another example: Gymnasium No. 3, considered the best school in the city: there, a teacher of Russian language and literature was promised from 40,000 rubles ($444) in January 2026. Other teachers — from 30,000 rubles ($333).

In 2024, UFA1.RU reported that at Ufa Lyceum No. 93, the salary is 10,400 rubles ($116). The director of the institution wrote on social media: «They pay a little. We just really love our job.»
