Teen employment sectors in Yaroslavl Oblast starting at age 14
Analysts from the Hh.ru service (HeadHunter) reported which sectors in Yaroslavl Oblast most often offer part-time work to teenagers. Specialists provided data for 2025.
According to Hh.ru, over the past year, the top 5 sectors with the highest number of vacancies for teenagers in Yaroslavl Oblast were:
Sales, customer service (20.6 thousand offers);
Retail trade (8.7 thousand offers);
Household and service staff (7.5 thousand offers);
Transport, logistics, shipping (7 thousand offers);
Administrative staff (5 thousand offers).
«The most in-demand soft skills for young job seekers are responsibility, punctuality, and teamwork. Among hard or professional skills are the ability to process orders, deliver goods, and navigate using a map. Employers are increasingly interested in candidates who already have internship experience or have participated in school projects: this signals readiness for independence and discipline,» said the analysts.
As analysts explained, teenagers more often seek jobs in sectors that do not require higher education, and where employers offer a hybrid format.
«According to the Russian Labor Code, teenagers aged 14-16 can engage in labor activities not only during holidays but also during the school year in their free time. However, if a minor combines study with work, their working hours should not exceed half the norm set for adults: for workers under 16, this is 12 hours per week,» said Hh.ru.
Previously, specialists named high-paying vacancies for Yaroslavl residents without experience. According to analysts, employers offer payments from 100,000 rubles (approximately $1,100 at current rates).
