Press Operators Lead Don Shift Worker Salaries at 308000 Rubles

In 2025, shift workers« wages increased. Experts from Avito Jobs determined which Don region specialists on shift work became the highest paid.

Experts determined average salary offers based on the ranges specified in job descriptions. The income amount can vary and depends on the shift duration.

The most highly paid work is that of press operators, who handle processing, molding, and joining materials under pressure on special presses. In 2025, candidates could expect an average of 308,120 rubles (approximately $3,100 at current rates) per month.

“The work of a press operator requires high qualifications, attentiveness, and strict adherence to technological processes and safety rules. Over the year, the average pay level for these positions increased by 47%,” the study states.

In second place in the ranking are smelters, who are involved in melting metals. Their average monthly salary in 2025 was 251,212 rubles (about $2,500 at current rates). This is 40% more than in 2024.

In third place are flaw detectors. They control the quality of materials and welded products. Their average salary in 2025 was 235,000 rubles (around $2,400 at current rates) per month — this is 47% more than in 2024.
