Omsk residents actively job hunting, sectors with personnel needs

Omsk residents have posted over 2,660 resumes at the start of 2026, a 28% increase in job searches compared to the same period last year, with demand rising in manufacturing, healthcare, and education.

At the beginning of 2026, Omsk residents became more active in job hunting. Local residents have posted more than 2,660 resumes. These data are provided by the Personnel Center of the Omsk Region.

According to experts, Omsk residents have been searching for jobs 28% more often compared to the same period last year. City residents are interested in various sectors — from defense manufacturing to healthcare.

Specialists of the Personnel Center of the Omsk Region note an increase in demand for professionals: by 31% in manufacturing, by 27.5% in healthcare and social services, and by 9% in education vacancies.

Also, center employees told about the highest salary in the region. The maximum pay reaches about 300,000 rubles (approximately $3,200 at current rates). Such vacancies are open for heads of mechanical assembly shops, prosthetics technicians, mechanics of prosthetic and orthopedic products, and programmers.

Earlier, NGS55.RU reported that an Omsk plant is looking for an employee with a salary starting from 250,000 rubles (approximately $2,700 at current rates).
