Driller tops highest-paid blue-collar jobs in Nizhny Novgorod Region
The drilling operator (driller) profession has become the highest paid among blue-collar jobs in the Nizhny Novgorod Region in 2025, according to the press service of Avito Rabota.
On average, employers offered experienced drillers a salary of 179,000 rubles ($2,100) per month. Compared to last year, it increased by 54%. As experts noted, the salary level indicated in vacancies varied depending on the candidates« experience, specifics, and working conditions. Some positions involved shift work.
Blacksmiths came in second in the ranking of high-paying professions, with an average monthly salary of 176,000 rubles ($2,100). Electricians placed third, with offers around 164,000 rubles ($1,900).
«The growth in salary offers for blue-collar jobs reflects the market demand for qualified employees and increasing competition for personnel against a backdrop of record low unemployment,» explained Andrey Kucheryankov, a representative of Avito Rabota.
The expert noted that among high-paying professions, the number of vacancies for facade workers, tilers, and auto painters has especially increased.
