Yekaterinburg New Build Pipe Burst: Residents Shovel Water

New buildings in the Viza district could not cope with heavy rainfall: on the night of July 19–20, an accident occurred in a new building at 7/2 Nachdiva Vasilyeva Street. Residents of the Lyubov residential complex had to go down and clear water from the parking lots and basements on their own. For example, using buckets and shovels.

«When the flooding had just begun, information was passed to the management company, but the technician who arrived on the call said it was nothing serious and was just groundwater, and the issue could wait until Monday. An hour later, everything was flooded. There has been no hot or cold water in the building for two days already. The residents have no idea when the elevators will work again or when water will return,» complained our reader.

At the management company RED-Service, residents were told that the accident in the building was already being fixed. If necessary, cold water can be obtained in the guest bathrooms on the first floors of the building.
