On the afternoon of 21 July, a utility accident occurred at building No. 29 on Sakharova Street in the Zavolzhsky District of Yaroslavl. A burst pipe caused a huge fountain to erupt from the ground.
Witnesses captured footage of the water gushing from the broken pipe.

As 76.RU learned, on that day JSC Yaroslavskie EnergoSystemy was conducting hydraulic tests. At that time the pipe burst.
«We disconnected this section and continued the tests. At the moment, these networks are disconnected, and now work will be carried out to eliminate the defective sections. Today, if they have time, they will start. Preparatory work will certainly be carried out today. And tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, everything will be fixed and water will be supplied as scheduled», — 76.RU was told at the organization.
Earlier, residents of a new building in Yaroslavl complained that they were left without hot water for a week. Water supply was promised to be restored four days after the shutdowns, but due to repairs the deadlines were delayed.
