Volzhsky crash: driver fails to yield, two injured

In Volzhsky, a satellite city of Volgograd, a terrible accident was captured on video. Late in the evening, two cars collided near one of the local shopping centers. The impact was so strong that one of the cars was thrown aside at least ten meters.
The footage from street cameras shows the intersection of Lenin Avenue and Bolshevikskaya Street in Volzhsky. A white car is moving along the avenue and is about to turn near the Malina shopping center. However, during the turn, the driver fails to yield to another car speeding from the opposite direction, resulting in a serious collision. As a result, one car is thrown a considerable distance, about ten meters, while the other spins around and also comes to a stop. Then witnesses gather at the scene.
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Volgograd Region told V1.RU that two people were injured in the accident, and promised to provide further details later. The V1.RU editorial team is clarifying the condition of the injured with the regional health committee.
Earlier, a car covered in blood stains was spotted in Volzhsky. Locals thought it might have been involved in an accident, but it turned out differently: a conflict between neighbors led to one of them, a taxi driver, being beaten and his car damaged. The victim himself shared the details of the incident with V1.RU.
