Ukrainian attacks kill over 100 in Russia
Over the past day — from 8:00 AM on 20 July to the morning of 21 July — Russian air defense destroyed 370 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over Russia, according to Ministry of Defense (MoD) reports. The drones were shot down over the territories of Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Vladimir, Tula, Kaluga, Kursk, Rostov, Ryazan regions, the Moscow region, Krasnodar and Stavropol krais, the Republic of Crimea, and over the waters of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea. The majority of the UAVs — 209 — were eliminated after 8:00 PM on Monday.
In addition to drone attacks, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) launched a series of missile strikes on Russia, hitting the Rostov region and Belgorod. For the Belgorod region, the past day was the most severe: on 20 July alone, 9 civilians, including a child, were killed and 77 were injured in the region. The total number of dead and wounded across the country over the past day exceeded one hundred, many of them children. Evacuated residents of a multi-story building in Vladimir, which was hit by a drone, are returning to their apartments, Governor Alexander Avdeev said at 9:00 AM. «Emergency services are finishing work at the site where the UAV struck the residential building. No one was hurt. An assessment of property damage is pending. The region and municipality will provide support,» the regional head said.
In Lipetsk, by 9:00 AM, open flames were extinguished at an industrial site — a massive fire had spread over thousands of square meters. «The fire site is being watered down, and damaged structures are beginning to be dismantled,» Governor Igor Artamonov said. According to him, investigators from the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) will determine the cause of the fire. Before the fire was reported tonight, a missile danger alert was declared twice in the Lipetsk region.
Residents of Voronezh were awakened again early on 21 July by air raid sirens. Later, Governor Alexander Gusev reported an attack on the city.
In Sochi, falling drone debris nearly killed a 7-year-old girl. The child was hospitalized and is not in danger, the Operational Headquarters of Krasnodar Krai reported on the morning of 21 July. Drone fragments fell on the grounds of a church in the city«s central district; security services are working at the site.

In Kursk region, on 20 July, an attack on Lgov injured five people — the AFU struck near the railway station, and all victims were railway employees. Fortunately, the injuries are not life-threatening. As Governor Alexander Khinshtein explained, the station is currently closed due to the counter-terrorist operation (CTO) regime, so there were no passengers there. Otherwise, the consequences could have been much more severe.
«In total, from 9:00 AM on 20 July to 9:00 AM on 21 July, 149 enemy drones of various types were shot down. 101 times the enemy used artillery against depopulated areas. 27 times drones attacked our territory using explosive devices,» Khinshtein said.

For the Belgorod region, 20 July truly became a «black day.» In Shebekino, a Ukrainian drone deliberately struck a passenger bus — four women and a child were killed on the spot, and 23 wounded were immediately taken to the hospital. According to updated data, the killed boy was 16 years old, and the number of injured rose to 27, four of them in serious condition.
Belgorod came under two missile strikes and attacks by 11 drones, of which 5 were shot down. «A man was killed. Thirteen people were wounded,» the regional Operational Headquarters reported this morning. «Eight victims were hospitalized in Belgorod City Hospital No. 2. According to doctors, three of them are in serious condition.»
According to Belgorod Mayor Valentin Demidov, one strike — around 6:00 PM — hit a commercial facility, immediately injuring 10 civilians.
Acting Governor Alexander Shuvaev said that yesterday they were able to identify the man who died on 19 July, bringing the total death toll to 9. In addition, it became known yesterday that a woman who had been seriously wounded in a drone attack on 11 July in the Belgorod district died in the hospital. The number of wounded in the region over the day was 77.
«The AFU attacked the Belgorod region 153 times,» Shuvaev said. «Attacks were carried out on Belgorod and the Belgorodsky, Borisovsky, Valuysky, Volokonovsky, Grayvoronsky, Ivnyansky, Korochansky, Krasnoyaruzhsky, Prokhorovsky, Rakityansky, Shebekinsky, and Yakovlevsky districts.»
The region was shelled seven times with artillery and multiple launch rocket systems, and explosive devices were dropped from UAVs twice. 183 drones of various types were destroyed over the Belgorod region.

In the Zaporozhye region, on 20 July, the AFU deliberately attacked a school in the urban-type settlement of Priazovskoye.
«Glazing was damaged, doors were knocked out, school buses and the surrounding area were damaged. Nearby houses also sustained damage. Fortunately, no one was hurt,» Governor Yevgeny Balitsky said.
Over the past day, during Ukrainian attacks in the region, two civilians were wounded — a man born in 1973 in serious condition, injured in a UAV strike between the settlements of Chubarevka and Shevchenko. In Tokmak, a drone attacked a woman born in 1986 riding a scooter — fortunately, she did not sustain serious injuries. The city of Primorsk came under massive shelling. «Significant damage to commercial buildings and civilian infrastructure. Emergency services are working at the site, and the city administration is assessing the damage,» Yevgeny Balitsky wrote on the morning of 21 July in his channel on Maks.
On the morning of 21 July, the head of Zaporozhye reported an attack on a residential area in Tokmak. Balconies of two five-story buildings and parked cars in the courtyard were damaged, and a woman born in 1939 was wounded; doctors are providing her with necessary assistance.

Over the Bryansk region, 18 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones were shot down in a day. In the Klimovsky district, two people were wounded and received medical aid, Acting Governor Yegor Kovalchuk said.
«Over the past few days, the pig-breeding complex of the agricultural holding Miratorg in the Klimovsky district has repeatedly come under intensive shelling,» Kovalchuk said. «Several production buildings were damaged, and two heavy trucks were destroyed. Despite the scale of destruction, all employees on site were quickly evacuated. No one was hurt.»
And today, 21 July, in Suzemka, FPV drones struck a Miratorg tractor-trailer twice. The driver was wounded and taken to the hospital.

In the Kherson region, from 20 to 21 July, one female civilian was killed and seven people were wounded due to Ukrainian attacks, Governor Vladimir Saldo said. A woman born in 1986 died in a UAV attack in Velikiye Kopani (Aleshkinsky district). There are victims in Aleshki, Velikaya Lepetikha, on roads between Kliny and Vinogradovo, between Vinogradovo and Tarasovka, between Chaplynka and Kakhovka. People were simply walking on the street or driving in cars — ordinary people, not military. Judging by photos published by Saldo, one of the AFU strikes hit a church.

In the Luhansk People«s Republic (LPR), attacks over the past day caused serious consequences in Svatove. »A Ukrainian UAV flew into the window of a residential building. Four people were injured, including two children aged 10 and 14. Transportation of a 10-year-old boy in serious condition to the Republican Children«s Hospital is being prepared,» Republic Head Leonid Pasechnik said on his Maks channel on 21 July at 12:16.
Ukrainian forces also launched several strikes on Luhansk. At night, in the Kamennobrodsky district, a 69-year-old woman was wounded in an attack on the yard of a private house. In the eastern quarters, a UAV struck near an apartment building — no casualties were reported there. Car parks were also attacked, and civilian trucks were damaged. In the morning, a drone struck the settlement of Yubileiny, causing a fire that temporarily closed the road across the bridge on Andrei Linev Street toward Yubileiny. Information about casualties from this attack was being clarified at the time of publication.
