Two Pedestrians Hit in Traffic Accidents in Kurgan Region

Two pedestrians were injured in separate traffic incidents in Kurgan region on January 19, with one hospitalized and the other receiving outpatient treatment.

In Kurgan region, two pedestrians were involved in traffic accidents. According to the Road Patrol Service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Kurgan region, both incidents occurred on 19 January.

In the morning at 07:45 on Mira Street in the settlement of Yurgamysh, a 28-year-old female driver of a BMW hit a 35-year-old woman at an unregulated crosswalk. The victim was hospitalized with injuries.

In the afternoon at 14:05 on Omskaya Street in Kurgan, a 58-year-old male driver of a VAZ-21112 car ran over a 46-year-old man who was running across the roadway in an unauthorized place. The victim was prescribed outpatient treatment without hospitalization.

The traffic police urge people to be careful when crossing the road, especially at night. Last week, three more pedestrians were hospitalized after accidents.
