Two Children in Ufa to Receive Compensation After Swing Accidents

The Ufa mayor«s office has been ordered to pay 150,000 rubles (about $1,700 at current rates) to a family whose child was injured after falling from a swing in Aksakov Garden. Meanwhile, in another district of the city, a decision was made in a similar case — there, a child suffered a fracture after falling from a swing. UFA1.RU has studied the rulings and provides details.

The first incident occurred in summer 2025: a child was playing on new swings in Aksakov Garden when they suddenly broke. According to the ruling of the Kirovsky District Court, the victim suffered an upper lip wound, traumatic dislocation of the first teeth (right and left) in the upper jaw, and an impacted dislocation of another tooth. This was classified as minor harm to health.
In court, Gorzelenskhoz (the municipal gardening and landscaping enterprise) disavowed the claim, saying that at the time of the incident it had no connection to the swings in the garden. Moreover, representatives of the institution said that the requested 200,000 rubles (about $2,200 at current rates) in compensation was too much. Allegedly, judicial practice in such cases has shown that it is acceptable to award between 3,000 and 30,000 rubles (about $33 to $333 at current rates).
The defendant also included Albit LLC, which carried out the landscaping. In court, the company stated that it was not the proper defendant — claiming that all the equipment had been accepted without question, and several years had passed since its installation.
Albit is known for its participation in a number of major projects: construction of the stele «City of Labor Valor» — 95 million rubles (about $1,055,600 at current rates) (then additional landscaping for 45 million rubles (about $500,000) and lighting for 4.9 million rubles (about $54,400)), landscaping of Soviet Square — 90 million rubles (about $1,000,000), reconstruction of Aksakov Garden — 240 million rubles (about $2,666,700), and reconstruction of the Pobeda cinema — 235.5 million rubles (about $2,616,700).
The city administration also stated that it had no relation to this place — it has its own maintainer, so they said to ask them. But the money was ultimately collected from the mayor«s office.
The defendant in the second case is Gorzelenskhoz, which inspected and accepted the Musa Gareyev Square in the Ordzhonikidzevsky District. The plaintiffs were not only the parents of the injured girl, but also the prosecutor.
The plaintiffs believe that the institution poorly inspected the swings, causing their child to fall while swinging and suffer a tailbone fracture. According to the applicants, the girl experienced pain for more than three weeks, was limited in movement, and suffered as a result. For this, they asked to recover 300,000 rubles (about $3,300 at current rates) as compensation for moral harm.
The court upheld the claim and ordered Gorzelenskhoz to pay 250,000 rubles (about $2,800 at current rates) in compensation, plus 8,500 rubles (about $94) in state duty to the city budget. The institution disagreed with the ruling and filed a complaint with the Supreme Court of Bashkortostan.
The landscaping in Musa Gareyev Square was carried out by Vladik Khusnutdinov, an individual entrepreneur from Neftekamsk (he has been engaged in construction and installation work since 2008). He received a contract for 6.9 million rubles (about $76,700 at current rates) in 2023 and completed it in full. According to data from public procurement, there were no complaints about the quality of the work.
