A fire broke out in Balakovo, claiming the lives of two people, according to the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM).
The fire was reported yesterday at 5:25 p.m. It started in an apartment of a five-story building at 67 Trnavskaya Street, with flames covering 16 square meters. Three fire crews were dispatched to put out the fire.
The victims were identified as a 63-year-old woman and a 53-year-old man. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and an EMERCOM of Russia investigator is at the scene.
