On the morning of February 4, a tram derailed at Ruchi station in the Kalininsky district of Saint Petersburg. The incident occurred at 11:20 when the vehicle failed to navigate the turn on the loop.
There were no passengers on board at the time. A team from the emergency recovery service of Gorelektrotrans (the Saint Petersburg city electric transport operator) quickly arrived at the scene.
Specialists re-railed the tram in just over an hour. Full tram service was restored by 12:36.
Due to the incident, the route of tram No. 100 was temporarily altered. Traffic on the section is now operating normally.
