Traffic blocked on Serov Tract due to smoking truck: video

Traffic was blocked on Serov Tract. Eyewitnesses reported to E1.RU that the highway was enveloped in smoke. Firefighters arrived on the scene.

Drivers were stuck in a traffic jam while rescuers worked. When traffic was allowed to proceed, they saw a truck on the shoulder, but no signs of fire on it.

“It’s not very clear what was burning. Or they just arrived in time,” an eyewitness said.

The situation was clarified by the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS) of Sverdlovsk Oblast.

“The brake pads of the cargo vehicle were smoking. To cool them down, a fire hose was deployed from a tanker truck. To lay the main line, traffic was blocked. Two units of special equipment and nine firefighters responded to the incident,” the regional MChS reported.
