The cause of death has been determined for the 44-year-old tourist from Nizhny Tagil who died in Kabardino-Balkaria. She fell from a height of 40 meters at Sultan Waterfall, but the fatal outcome was not due to the fall. The cause was acute heart failure: before falling, the woman felt unwell.The Investigative Committee of Kabardino-Balkaria stated: «The death is not criminal; the woman was part of a tourist group, so her identity was established immediately. Relatives are handling the transportation of the body.»Six rescuers responded to the scene. Witnesses and medics attempted to save the tourist after the fall. The body was evacuated from the gorge and handed over to the investigative-operational group of law enforcement agencies.Earlier, a similar incident occurred on Mount Elbrus: a father and son fell during an ascent to the eastern peak. The family originated from Donetsk but had lived in Stavropol Krai in recent years.
