Teenager Critical After Crash That Killed Five

According to the Ministry of Health of the Krasnoyarsk Krai, the condition of one of the young people injured in the road accident is assessed as extremely serious. «A young man and a girl are stable, in moderate condition. A girl is in extremely serious condition,» the ministry noted.

The administration of the Kansky District announced on its Telegram channel the declaration of a day of mourning throughout the district on 6 February 2026. This measure is related to the deaths of five people as a result of a road traffic accident.

The collision between a passenger Gazel minibus and an Iveco truck occurred on the evening of 2 February on federal highway R-257 «Sibir» in the Rybinsky District. According to preliminary data, a trailer detached from the truck, which was towing a modular home, swerved into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with the minibus. The accident killed three underage applicants, an 18-year-old student, and a 31-year-old employee of the Main Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Krai (GUFSIN), who was accompanying the group. The young people were returning from Krasnoyarsk to Kansk, where they were preparing to enroll in a higher education institution. Both drivers of the vehicles were not injured.
