Due to the derailment of freight cars at Kochetovka-2 station in the Tambov Region, passenger trains, including those heading to Sochi, are delayed:

No. 27 Simferopol – Moscow
No. 35 Adler – St. Petersburg
No. 37 Imereti Resort – Nizhny Novgorod
No. 101 Adler – Moscow
No. 139 Kislovodsk – Arkhangelsk
No. 266 Moscow – Novorossiysk
No. 739 Voronezh – Moscow
A decision is being made on rerouting trains via an alternative route around the obstacle, Russian Railways (RZD) press service reported.
— Train crew members are providing comprehensive assistance to passengers. A comfortable temperature is maintained in the cars. Railway workers are taking all necessary measures to restore train movement. Information on actual train movement can be obtained in the mobile app «RZD Passengers» and on the website of OJSC «Russian Railways,» the statement said.
The incident occurred at 15:34 Moscow time at Kochetovka-2 station in the Tambov Region, where a freight car derailed, after which the gasoline it was carrying caught fire.
According to preliminary information, there are no casualties. Fire and recovery trains have been dispatched to the scene. Train movement through the station has been suspended. RZD has set up an operational headquarters to deal with the aftermath of the incident. Further delays of southbound trains are expected. The cause of the incident is being investigated.
