Shturm Reveals Director's Death Circumstances

Georgiy Portnoy, who performed as a keyboardist and backing vocalist for the ensemble Pesnyary and also worked as concert director for singer Yevgeny Osin and singer Natalya Shturm, died in central Moscow. The cause of death was sudden heart failure.
Natalya Shturm shared details of what happened. «He was walking on business, his heart suddenly gave out, and he fell,» the performer reported. According to the singer, passersby tried to help the man by performing chest compressions. «They even damaged, well, broke, so to speak, his rib cage,» Shturm noted. However, medics who arrived at the scene pronounced Portnoy dead.
The farewell ceremony for the musician will take place on February 5 at the Savyolovsky Central Funeral Hall.
