On the afternoon of 4 February, a drone danger was declared in Krasnodar Krai. The notification from the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry (RSChS) arrived at 16:04. There is a threat of falling UAV debris, and in such cases, residents are asked to call emergency services at 112.
«If you are in a building, move away from windows and take shelter in a room without glazing (corridor, pantry). If you are outside, take shelter in the nearest building, protected room (underground room, basement) or in folds of terrain,» the statement said.
Earlier in the day, the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) announced the temporary closure of Krasnodar Airport. The air harbor did not receive or dispatch flights from 13:07 for one hour. The restrictions were imposed «to ensure safety».
According to the Ministry of Defense, the last time four UAVs were shot down over the Kuban region was on 2 February.
