A road accident with casualties occurred in the Petrogradsky district of St. Petersburg on the morning of January 21.

Around 8:55 a.m., the driver of a Geely passenger car, traveling along Kronverkskaya Embankment from Kamenoostrovsky Prospekt towards Dobrolyubova Prospekt, hit an obstacle near building 1 on Alexandrovsky Park. The car rolled onto its roof, as confirmed by the press service of the State Traffic Inspectorate for St. Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast.

As a result of the accident, a 62-year-old man at the wheel and an 11-year-old passenger were injured. Both were promptly taken to the hospital for medical assistance.

Due to the accident, traffic on Kronverkskaya Embankment was temporarily partially blocked. By the time of preparing the report, the roadway was fully restored.
