Pensioner driver crashes into barrier on Zagorodnoye Highway
The driver was hospitalized after crashing into a barrier on Zagorodnoye Highway.
Another serious traffic accident occurred in the Orenburg region, this time in the city of Orenburg. According to the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (UMVD), the crash happened on February 4 on Zagorodnoye Highway.
The road barrier was damaged in the collision.
According to preliminary information, a 78-year-old driver of a Mitsubishi Lancer was traveling from Sharlyk Highway towards Tereshkova Street. For some reason, the pensioner lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a road barrier located directly in his path.
The man was hospitalized with various injuries. Police are conducting an investigation to determine what may have disoriented the Orenburg resident: obstacles, a mechanical malfunction, or health issues.
