A 76-year-old woman who was injured in a traffic accident in Shilka has died in a hospital two days after the crash, her relative told Chita.Ru.
«On the afternoon of July 15, an SUV hit her on a pedestrian crossing. She suffered multiple fractures and a traumatic brain injury. On July 17, she died from her injuries,» the publication«s source said.
The Ministry of Health of Zabaykalsky Krai confirmed the victim«s death.
Earlier, the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate (GAI) reported that on July 15 at 4:30 p.m. on Lenin Street in Shilka, a driver of a Toyota Land Cruiser hit a woman on an uncontrolled pedestrian crossing. She was taken from the scene to the Shilkinskaya Central District Hospital.
