«Oh my!» Explosion at Surgut gas station

The moment of the explosion at a gas station in the Surgut district was captured by several eyewitnesses. The footage shows a tractor and a tanker on fire. Then a powerful blast occurs. The video was published by the Telegram channel mdps86.

As reported by the Russian Emergencies Ministry (MChS), the fire at the gas station occurred today, February 5, around 12:00 noon in the village of Solnechny, Surgut district. By the time firefighters arrived, the MAZ fuel truck was engulfed in flames. It was extinguished only by 12:41 p.m., with the fire area reaching about 150 square meters.

The ministry also confirmed that two people were injured due to the fire, but did not specify who exactly. It is noteworthy that the footage shows firefighters near the fuel truck at the moment of the explosion.

«As a result of the incident, two people were injured. They have been taken to a medical facility; details are being clarified. A total of 20 personnel and 5 pieces of equipment from the Russian Emergencies Ministry were involved in extinguishing the fire,» the ministry added.
