Cold water flooded the roadway of Novatorov Boulevard in St. Petersburg on 5 February. A reader of the publication Fontanka reported this.
An emergency water leak on Novatorov Boulevard caused flooding amid cold weather.
In a press service of Vodokanal, the leak was confirmed. «For inspection, localization and diversion of water from the roadway, the enterprise»s crews arrived at the scene,« the organization said.
The incident occurred against the backdrop of abnormally low temperatures in the city. Chief Synoptic of St. Petersburg Alexander Kolesov earlier noted, «In St. Petersburg, it is also getting colder, but during the day the sun will warm it up a bit, so the maximum temperature should be around -10 degrees Celsius (14°F).» According to his forecasts, further cooling is expected in the near future.
